Interesting

Why is it that people encourage one to sleep in, on a day off?
Sleep is for the body, rest is what I need. I think.
Wouldn't you agree, that after a mental drain one would need to rest their mind?
I'm waking up early.

You didn't have to...

Thank you, sir.
Thank you for honoring beauty.
No strings attached, no awkwardness.
You leave me with my jaw dropped.
You didn't try to swing anything, no number expected.
You walk out confidently with a girl by your side,
and leave another knowing she is gorgeous.
She is honored for living and being.
By the name of Sid.
You made yourself honorable and great.
Thank you, sir.

Jimmy is now Mama Squirrel

So I had this friend
He came to visit me when I sat under his tree
I think he liked me because I fed him French fries one day
He seemed hungry and grateful
I called him Jimmy

But today, he carried something very large in his mouth
He struggled up a tree
Pausing half way to re-grip what he held
I noticed it had a tail! Though much smaller then the previously thought "Jimmy's" tail
So she made it up the tree and then wall, struggling still
And found the little corner with her nest
A mini head peeped out with hers to look below
So I left her my corn cob and determined that I shall call her Mama Squirrel now

Coffee shop convo overheard

"...and missing two fingers, his hand gripped my back like with a claw grip! ...and pulled us apart. Then I said, I'm sorry sir, it was my fault."

Seeing north

Yes, I challenge
For the benefit of the view
The perspective
It shifts when I challenge
Do you see it too?
Why don't you see it that way?
Don't you think we're small?
Don't you want to see the meaning?
Come on.
To stay in one place
To see the world the same way forever
Wouldn't that be mundane?
What is new in staying that way?
I challenge for a new view
To stand on a skyscraper
Look to below and shout direction
In the crowd you don't know north

Business Card

Not to be too vague
or confusing
but it's worth a post
and worth enough to not explain

You see, you don't need this
but I do
A reminder of this
what it was and what it is

You know those things that trigger?
Something unrelated to the rest
But to you it means the world
A simple Business Card

idiot

given up
you terrify me
it's because I care
your pain so deep
run so apathetically
as if it won't catch
yet you run
admittedly failed
confessed confusion
do I give up, or keep hoping?

Welp.

It is very rare that I write when I am in an extremely good mood.
I mean, who has the time to write when you're bouncing around as if the moon's atmosphere has come to earth.

Not that I'm in that state currently, but I am indeed sipping coffee on a lovely afternoon and pondering an event. And if you continue reading, you will find that you have stumbled upon a somewhat smiling conversation in my head.

Thank you, friend.
You have been most encouraging, beneficial and needed. Yes, needed.
You see, one may occasionally need a lift, a smile, a ridiculous happening.
A nudge to breathe, a reminder of spring.
Spring, where one dismisses the bitter and cold.
A lightheartedness. A grin. You see? Be silly for moment, it cannot hurt.
I am grateful for your response.
Relieved that you've not put another weight on my shoulders.
That you let me go on when all the others pull me down, guilt my heart.
Many speak words, few remember and hold to them.
You've proven yourself true.
Thank you, friend.

deserving of lowercase

your newly constructed house
paper thin and pretty
it sits in the sky
nothing beneath
you stare past the view
of the castle below
it's grounded
your home
yet burns

you're blind

Should you shrink.

Waffle. Flake. Bananas. Nuts.
Oh, the commonalities.
What are you afraid of?
The height is still as high, the second time as the first.
Should you shrink from such sights?
Just as well.
Shrink.
For the end will bring ease to you.
Ease and a far less treasure.
