Meh.

Why do things that are broken always pour out?
The pressure of contents seeking release.
This spilling response of something needing to go somewhere.
Only so much of little particles built up, can be contained behind cracked parts.

Glue, hold together, glue again.
Sit and stare at the parts.
They fit together don't they?
Not anymore. Not to me.
Missing pieces.
The fear of an eternal leak.

This gravity pushing, pulling.
Evaporation spreads it out.
Makes room for tomorrow.

Do not worry about tomorrow.
Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Not the savior

The toilet needed cleaning because dang it, it matters.
Plaid pants and striped slipper boots, because I want to.
Red lipstick with a hoodie seen by no one, but it's pretty to me.
Chopin and oils because, people, go run your own life.
The time, a clock that disappeared from my wall.
Stop apologizing because you aren't what people want.
So what? I like the perfume that smells funny.
Perfume never saved anybody, it never will.

Interesting

Why is it that people encourage one to sleep in, on a day off?
Sleep is for the body, rest is what I need. I think.
Wouldn't you agree, that after a mental drain one would need to rest their mind?
I'm waking up early.

You didn't have to...

Thank you, sir.
Thank you for honoring beauty.
No strings attached, no awkwardness.
You leave me with my jaw dropped.
You didn't try to swing anything, no number expected.
You walk out confidently with a girl by your side,
and leave another knowing she is gorgeous.
She is honored for living and being.
By the name of Sid.
You made yourself honorable and great.
Thank you, sir.

Jimmy is now Mama Squirrel

So I had this friend
He came to visit me when I sat under his tree
I think he liked me because I fed him French fries one day
He seemed hungry and grateful
I called him Jimmy

But today, he carried something very large in his mouth
He struggled up a tree
Pausing half way to re-grip what he held
I noticed it had a tail! Though much smaller then the previously thought "Jimmy's" tail
So she made it up the tree and then wall, struggling still
And found the little corner with her nest
A mini head peeped out with hers to look below
So I left her my corn cob and determined that I shall call her Mama Squirrel now

Coffee shop convo overheard

"...and missing two fingers, his hand gripped my back like with a claw grip! ...and pulled us apart. Then I said, I'm sorry sir, it was my fault."

Seeing north

Yes, I challenge
For the benefit of the view
The perspective
It shifts when I challenge
Do you see it too?
Why don't you see it that way?
Don't you think we're small?
Don't you want to see the meaning?
Come on.
To stay in one place
To see the world the same way forever
Wouldn't that be mundane?
What is new in staying that way?
I challenge for a new view
To stand on a skyscraper
Look to below and shout direction
In the crowd you don't know north

Business Card

Not to be too vague
or confusing
but it's worth a post
and worth enough to not explain

You see, you don't need this
but I do
A reminder of this
what it was and what it is

You know those things that trigger?
Something unrelated to the rest
But to you it means the world
A simple Business Card

idiot

given up
you terrify me
it's because I care
your pain so deep
run so apathetically
as if it won't catch
yet you run
admittedly failed
confessed confusion
do I give up, or keep hoping?

Welp.

It is very rare that I write when I am in an extremely good mood.
I mean, who has the time to write when you're bouncing around as if the moon's atmosphere has come to earth.

Not that I'm in that state currently, but I am indeed sipping coffee on a lovely afternoon and pondering an event. And if you continue reading, you will find that you have stumbled upon a somewhat smiling conversation in my head.

Thank you, friend.
You have been most encouraging, beneficial and needed. Yes, needed.
You see, one may occasionally need a lift, a smile, a ridiculous happening.
A nudge to breathe, a reminder of spring.
Spring, where one dismisses the bitter and cold.
A lightheartedness. A grin. You see? Be silly for moment, it cannot hurt.
I am grateful for your response.
Relieved that you've not put another weight on my shoulders.
That you let me go on when all the others pull me down, guilt my heart.
Many speak words, few remember and hold to them.
You've proven yourself true.
Thank you, friend.

deserving of lowercase

your newly constructed house
paper thin and pretty
it sits in the sky
nothing beneath
you stare past the view
of the castle below
it's grounded
your home
yet burns

you're blind

Should you shrink.

Waffle. Flake. Bananas. Nuts.
Oh, the commonalities.
What are you afraid of?
The height is still as high, the second time as the first.
Should you shrink from such sights?
Just as well.
Shrink.
For the end will bring ease to you.
Ease and a far less treasure.

Happy Place

In time, keeping time
Make it so I don't think
Wait for a signal, follow, repeat
Throw in a surprise
The challenge of not thinking
Not anticipating the next step
Mind unengaged, distant, calm
Heart numb and careless
A step, a spin, a tailored move
The charm of leaving behind
If only for awhile

A shade painted untrue

Eh.
There ya' are
Few and far between
Only there when you wanna be
Or not, maybe it's me
Maybe my hesitant heart
Maybe the part that's pain
And that past paints you
It paints a shade of distrust
The shade that makes me run
I'm sorry for that
The selfish is me

Ps. 62

"Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us."

Conversation

"But what if he's not my best friend?"

"Then I won't send him."

The heart of fall leaves

Uncertain and faltering
Carried by breeze
Against a gray, chilled sky
Twisted and taken by things all around
Shifting from heights low and then high
Carried to places unknown
Lands on a rooftop wishing for peace
Taken afar with a brush of change
Destiny driven
Chase of The Presence
Sets for but moments
Settled for time

The 55 of Psalm

"And I say, "Oh, that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away and be at rest;

yes, I would wander far away; I would lodge in the wilderness;

I would hurry to find a shelter from the raging wind and tempest.

...Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved."

Day of Gray

This place comes and goes
visits unannounced
reckless and abandoning
pulls down below a fog
eyes squint to see the light
ships gnarled on the rocks
they were innocent you know

Thank you for the storm Jesus

Though terrifying and terrible

though wicked and blasting

Your hand is protecting

Your eyes, they are watching

keeping, assuring

Your heart is alive

to the movement in mine

my loving one

mighty and true

Your words are in pain

the sweetest touch
